How To Identify And Measure U-Bolts
In this segment of our Parts Identification Series, we will cover how to properly identify and measure u-bolts.
When requesting a quote for custom bent u-bolts. It’s important to know the exact measurements and specifications you require to ensure the u-bolt fits correctly where it needs to.
(A) Diameter
The measurement across the rod.
Different thicknesses include: 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 3/4", 7/8", or 1"
(B) Inside Width
The measurement from inside rod to inside rod measurement, right under the arch. The proper width is required to ensure the u-bolt will fit around what it needs to go around.
(C) Length
The measurement from the inside of the arch to the bottom of the thread.
